Founder and Executive Director Alexis Noe has always had a passion for working with teens. She worked as a juvenile probation officer in Towns & Union counties and as a family services coordinator with Union County Family Connection. In addition to these positions, Alexis is also a certified special education English teacher.
Luke’s Place is named after founder Alexis’s younger brother. Luke had a HUGE heart, and he never met a stranger. He cared deeply for others and would give the shirt off of his back if it meant someone else would be comforted. Luke was also an incredibly talented musician and could play any instrument he put his hands on.
Despite his many incredible attributes and love of others, Luke began struggling with drugs and alcohol at an early age and lost his battle with addiction one month after his 35th birthday. Luke passed away from a toxic combination of fentanyl and alcohol, but his memory lives on every single day as we open the doors and invite the teens in the community to come in and have fun.
Luke's Place is a very supportive and safe environment that gives Alexis the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of local teens and their families. The mission of Luke’s Place is to prevent substance abuse by providing teens with a safe, drug-free environment. Not only is our space a safe place for teens, it is A LOT of fun!
We offer a variety of video games on large screen TVs, air hockey, foosball, pool, comfortable couches in different areas to lounge, study areas, a stage for live music, and so much more. The best part? All services are free! We also offer birthday party & graduation party packages, so give us a call or message us for pricing.
